Sustainment
This phase covers how access or presence is maintained long enough to complete the engagement properly. The objective is to preserve operational stability while staying inside scope, safety, and reporting requirements.
Purpose
Sustainment matters because many findings are not visible at the moment of entry. They appear only when an operator can remain in position long enough to observe, validate, and document what is happening.
The phase is about control and patience. It should support the objective without introducing unnecessary persistence or risk.
